Hall to Host 163 Exhibitors, ATA General Sessions
ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 22, 2017 — Yesterday, American Trucking Associations President and CEO Chris Spear, along with the association’s leadership, opened the Management Conference & Exhibition‘s grand exhibit hall with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
“If you want to see some of the newest and best technology in the trucking industry, the Exhibit Hall floor at MCE is the place to do it. This is one of the features that makes MCE a unique and must-attend meeting for ATA’s members,” said ATA Chairman Kevin Burch, president of Jet Express Inc. “The suppliers to our industry work hard to produce state-of-the-art technologies, and this year’s exhibit hall is a showcase of some of the most impressive products and services in the marketplace.”
Spear was joined for the ceremonial ribbon cutting, sponsored by EROAD, by outgoing ATA Chairman Kevin Burch, president of Jet Express Inc., incoming ATA Chairman Dave Manning, president of TCW Inc., and EROAD COO Jarred Clayton, as well as the rest of ATA’s leadership team: ATA First Vice Chairman Barry Pottle, CEO of Pottle’s Transportation; Vice Chairman Sherri Brumbaugh Garner, president and CEO of Garner Transportation; Vice Chairman Randy Guillot, president of Triple G Express Inc., ATA Secretary John Smith, Chairman of CRST International Inc.; and ATA Treasurer Mike Ducker, president and CEO of FedEx Freight.
“Being able to improve the trucking industry by connecting allied partners with motor carriers is a great opportunity for attendees at MCE,” Spear said. “Our exhibitors have the chance to interact with our fleet executives and their products in a hands-on manner, and our motor carriers see a strong return on investment from meeting face-to-face with industry suppliers. All of this supports the industry’s agenda of safely and efficiently moving America’s goods.”
Drivers Legal Plan is sponsoring the opening of the 2017 MCE Exhibit Hall and ribbon cutting ceremony.
This year’s exhibit at the Orange County Convention Center features 163 exhibitors, including 27 first-time exhibitors, and will be open through October 24.
